    I love a good hat and one of my all time favourite styles is the 1940s classic the ‘tilt’ hat. These hats tend to be a rather dramatic shape and often adorned with ribbon, flowers and feathers. Below are some great photos of different styles of 1940s hats and as you can see they are often worn perched on the side of the head or tilted to one side.

    This style is one of my favourites to do with a 1940s hat, partly because it helps sit the hat a bit better on your head and partly because it’s pretty dramatic. It works really well with my new 1940s tilt hats but you could try this style with a true vintage hat too.
