FAQs

Welcome to my FAQS and hopefully I can help you with some of the questions you may have. If these don’t cover it, please message me via the website or email me on sarahsdoowopdos@gmail.com

“How long will my order take?”

I aim to despatch 'ready made' items within 5 working days. This may be a little longer at busier times of year. My 'made to order' items have a 2 week turnaround and will be labelled in the design title.

“How do I know if your turbans and headbands will fit me?”

My turbans and headbands are made of good quality stretchy fabrics so will fit most people, they generally fit an adult head size 20” to 24”. In addition my ‘made to order’ designs can be adjusted so if you need a custom size just pop me an email when you order.

“How do I measure my head?”

Some of my products like my berets & vintage style witch hats are made to a specific head size so follow my steps below to work out your head measurement.

  • Find your tape measure.
  • Measure the full circumference of your head (as shown below).
  • Write your measurement down in inches.
  • Choose the correct head size from my listings.

“I don’t know how to style your designs, can you help?”

Yes I can! My blog is full of helpful tips and advice with some great step by step tutorials, photos and even videos of how to wear and style my designs. Find my blog here.

“Some of your designs say the fabric they are made with is deadstock fabric, what does this mean?”

Deadstock fabrics are the “leftovers” of the fashion industry so are fabrics that ended up either not going to the intended buyer at all or not being made into finished garments. Historically, most of these deadstock fabrics would be simply thrown away, eventually making their way into landfills. Using deadstock fabric helps me reduce waste and is a great sustainable option.

“Are you a sustainably run fashion brand?”

I absolutely try to be as good as I can and here are some things I do to help.

  • I use deadstock fabric & vintage/secondhand fabric where possible
  • I reuse the scrap fabric in other designs (the plaited styles, the bow on the Tilt knot, bat wings on Bat Turban etc.)
  • I use natural lighting to shoot products
  • I reuse cardboard boxes for shipping

I’m continuing to work towards being more sustainable and will carry on finding more things that will help.

“I’m a European customer, how will Brexit affect my order?”

Sadly Brexit (which I did not vote for🇪🇺) has meant customers from the EU may now have to pay additional customs and other fees on receipt of their items. I do however have an Etsy shop where you can at least choose to pre-pay some fees. If you see something on my website you like that isn’t available on Etsy let me know and I can add it.
