Vintage Hair Tutorial: Plaited Fringe

Plaited hairstyles are a practical and stylish look and work so well with my turbans and other vintage style hats. Follow these steps to create a quick vintage hairstyle, inspired by the styles of the 1940s, in just a few minutes.

You will need: Hairbands, a comb, hair grips and a thin hair net. 

Step 1: Make a ponytail at the front of your head.
Step 2: Plait it.
Step 3: Wind it round into a circle and pin it in place with hair grips.
Step 4: Cover with a hairnet and pin that in place to keep everything neat.
Step 5: Add one of my 1940s style headbands, turbans or berets.
