Need a fabulous look for a Christmas party? Grab a Sarah’s Doo-Wop Dos hair bow and follow these steps to create a show stopping updo!

You will need: Hair grips (bobby pins), a comb, brush, hairspray and to have already curled your

Step 1: Start by creating three sections on the top of your head. The centre section should be the biggest and you can twist it up and leave it out the way to start with. A good method for making the sections is to use the back of your ear as a mark for how far back to take the sections.

Step 2: Backcomb one of the side sections at the roots, then roll it up into a mini victory roll and pin it in place. This does not need to be extremely neat as it is just the base of the look and won’t show much.

Step 3: Repeat with the other side

Step 4: Now take the middle section, separate your curls a little to create some volume.

Step 5: Begin pinning the curls in place in a slightly haphazard fashion until the whole section is in place. You want the curls to stand up and not be too flat to the head.

Step 6: Now starting at the back of your head, create a line of hair grips (bobby pins) just below the bottom of your ear. Don’t worry too much as it doesn’t need to be

Step 7: Taking a curl at a time start twisting and pinning them in place. 

Step 8: Once you have the curls how you like them give them a spray with some hairspray. 

Step 9: Finally add a Sarah’s Doo-Wop Dos velvet or sparkly bow to the back of the updo or maybe even to the front to add an extra bit of Christmas glamour.
