Styling Tips For Vintage Style Headbands and Turbans.

Since my designs can be worn in a variety of ways I thought I would share some tips for easy styles that require very little effort to achieve. These styles just take a few minutes and you need very little styling skills for them plus, they work equally well with my headbands, turbans, berets and even the new summer hat! Rolled Fringe.

Just styling your fringe is a great way to save time and still create an impact. Here I just rolled my hair into a big rolled fringe, or plaited it and pinned it into place, then popped a hairnet over it all to keep it in place and hid the rest of my hair with a turban.

Plaits

Plaits are my favourite way to wear my hair down as they take very little effort. If I have the time, I might curl the ends of my hair and create a little plaited fringe as seen in the first photo but a lot of the time I don’t bother with the curling and just do 2 plaits & leave my natural fringe.

Slicked Back.

I tend to wear my hair back at the moment with the new Classic knot headband (middle photo), as it’s a good snug fit and holds my hair back easily, but it works equally well with my other designs.  I just tuck my fringe under the band and throw the rest of my hair up in a messy bun and I’m good to go!

Hopefully these styles are useful. Don’t forget to tag any photos on Instagram with @sarahsdoowopdos if you are wearing my designs as I love to see customer photos!
