Quick Vintage Updo For A Headscarf/ Headband
Here’s a quick updo that looks great and takes just minutes to do, plus it looks fantastic with a Sarah’s Doo-Wop Dos headband.
You will need: A rat-tail comb, hairbrush, hair grips, hairspray, hair elastic.
Step 1: Create a decent front section and backcomb into the roots to create some height and structure.
Step 2: Roll this section to the side & slightly forward towards your hairline. Once you are happy with the placement pin it in place with hair grips and smooth any flyaways down.
Step 3: Take your remaining hair and put it into a high ponytail.
Step 4: Split the ponytail into 2 or 3 sections, depending on how much hair you have. Then curl each section around and pin it in place so the curls fill the crown of your head.
Step 5: Grab your favourite Sarah’s Doo-Wop Dos headband and pull it on. The knot should nestle in between the roll at the front and the curls on top. Once the band is on you can re-adjust the curls to fill out the top of your head more if needed.
